To the Supporters of Live Action, I'm sure you've heard people talk about how they think abortion is "needed" in cases where the life of the mother is at risk. In contrast, I want to tell you about an incredible story of a mother whose life was saved by her preborn baby. A pregnant mother named Amanda thought she was having a heart attack at first. However, doctors reduced her symptoms to anxiety and sent her home. When her pain became so intense that she thought she was dying, her husband insisted she go back to the hospital. It turned out she was experiencing aortic dissection, which is often fatal. Amanda's baby girl, Baylor, was delivered by emergency C-section, and nurses held her to Amanda for skin-to-skin contact even when Amanda was unconscious. What followed was profound. Amanda said, "Some of the only times I would react on life support was when they would do skin-to-skin with [Baylor], and apparently I would cry when they would do that." She said, "Love is a powerful thing, and the bond between a mother and a baby, it's unreal." With Amanda's aortic dissection, it was discovered that Baylor's presence in her womb also helped prevent the issue from becoming worse. You can read more about this incredible story here: https://www.liveaction.org/news/preborn-baby-saves-mom-life-threatening-emergency/ Many women experience complications during pregnancy. Yet, abortion - the intentional killing of the preborn child - is not a medical treatment and never a just or loving response. Early delivery may be necessary, but in that case, the child is not intentionally harmed, even if he or she may sadly not survive. Abortion advocates are using scare tactics to try to convince the masses that women need abortions. What women need are stories like Amanda's. In her case, the life and love of her baby saved her own life. Join me in sharing beautiful stories like Amanda's.
