The Guinness people said the new procedure they had instituted required those baptized to go back to the Philippine Arena where the wrist bands needed for the counting should be dropped and collected.
“So there are many people here today. But we’ve been working very hard for the past few hours to come to a number of people who fully participated,” Brent explained.
“This has been a very impressive and powerful day to bear witness to,” she added.
Aside from Brent, the three other Guinness adjudicators present were Pravin Jasmaibhai from Great Britain, Solvej Mary Malou from Australia, and Sofia Eleonora Greenacre from Sweden.
The auditing firm, Deloitte, assisted the Guinness adjudicators in observing and auditing the number of baptized candidates who were able to drop their bands at the designated drop boxes inside the Philippine Arena.
The new Guinness record set by the INC is just one among the more than 20 Guinness records set by the Church Of Christ since 2012.
Among those baptized were people from various nationalities including those from Asia, North America, South America and Africa.
The INC’s record-breaking Grand Baptism also coincided with the 10th anniversary of Brother Eduardo V. Manalo as INC Executive Minister.
